About Pastor Janet…

I am very excited to serve as the first Global Methodist Pastor for Scottdale Trinity, arriving in mid-July 2023.  At the same time, I have to admit that this appointment came as a surprise to me.  While I have served churches in various capacities since my ordination in 2001, this is my first opportunity to shepherd a congregation and preach weekly.  However, once I met with the fine people of Trinity, I was absolutely sure that this was where God intended me to be.  It has been a true blessing!

Since spending time in Scottdale I have to admit to becoming quite smitten with the charms of this town and its people.  Community pride and values are strong here and I have never lived in a place that had more parades!  Trinity Methodist is anxious to connect with our neighbors and serve as a place where questions of faith are explored.

Beyond Scottdale, I also serve in leadership within the Allegheny West Conference as the Conference Secretary and a member of the Board of Ministry.  I was honored to be elected as a delegate to the historic Convening Conference of the Global Methodist Church which met in Costa Rica in September 2024.  The people that I have come to know in the GMC are some of the finest servants of God that it has been my pleasure to meet, and I am humbled to work alongside them as we worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.
